27. 2. 02 In the programm of UIII Russian Festifal "Literature & cinema" were shown 4 short-films.
"Poste restante" (2000, 24 min.), directed by Anna Melikian. Film uses textes of L. Petrushevskaya & G. Gazdanov. D-minor fantasy: girl-courier walks along the streets, falls down boxes with letters, changes dark glasses for usual and back, stares her teacher & watches the news.
"There won`t be no winter" (2001, 26 min), director V. Tikhomirov. This is the lyrical musical film-fantasy on the theme of Russian tale "Masha & the bear". There are 3 heroes: bear, dog & girl. Asked about ����� on zoophylia, the director answered: "I`m against sex & nude nature on screen, that`s why I use my enemy`s method: show nude nature, zoophylia, pedophylia. And my audience should understand itself, what`s the reason. Such a way I look for the common language with my audience".
"Valtz" (2001, 26 min), director Edgar Bertenev. Film made by the motives of I. Metter`s "In the night". For the whole night wife & husband scandalizing - husband reminds his wife`s change, that he still can`t forgive. The same time in the yard, in front of their windows sit some of teenagers, which want to rub the flat. Art instructors of the film - director`s teachers, A. German & S. Karmalita. E. Bertenev explained, that on the Lenfilm-studio art advices begins right from the begining of spade-work, so the teachers discussed scenary & watched the ready material.
"Nightingale`s tango" (2002, 4 min), directed by Dmitry Frolov. This the shortest film in the programm of Festival. Film shooted by the motives of poem-cycle "Two songs" of Marina Tzvetaeva. This is the film-impression. InterMedia`s corr. could talk with D. Frolov, which celebrated his birthday that day. He was with actress Natalia Surkova, played one of the roles in the film. As N. Surkova said, during the shooting she even didn`t know, that "plays in "Tzvetaeva"". This fact was hidden by D. Frolov, - he explained, that the film was just about love. Two years ago on the same Festival was introdused Dm. Frolov`s picture, "Near the lake", shooted by the motives of Alexander Block`s creature, and now the author seriously thinks about trilogy - next film he is going to make by the Anna Akhmatova`s "Poem without a hero". The scenary is been worked on now. Dm. Frolov wants to start shooting in the time of White nights in St. Petersburg. Dm. Frolov has also a plan for a full-lenght film for the 100-anniversary of Daniil Harms.
